I took off one star because this foundation is SO difficult to figure out. It should seriously come with directions! I must have been in front of my mirror for thirty minutes just applying and reapplying and then starting over altogether a few times... what a nightmare. That said, I do really like this foundation, hence why I still gave it four stars. It gives a nice matte finish and looks pretty natural. I have a somewhat fair complexion- for those of you familiar with bare escentuals makeup, I wear "fairly light"- but I bought tan #1 in this powder and it's the perfect match, maybe even a tad too light. It didn't quite cover all my acne scars, but came close. My advice to you would be to order a few shades darker than you think you need, and make sure your sponge (if you get the max factor natural one designed to go with it) is completely dampened when you apply, because if it's dried out at all it will cause the foundation to go on streaky. I've been looking for an every day foundation that gives a matte finish and covers well... I do believe I've found it. If only it came with a how-to video, I'd be in heaven!

Thank GOD you guys carry this stuff!! My mom has been using this makeup since she was a teenager (she's now 79 years old!) and it's the only makeup that she likes and the only one that looks good on her. The new Max Factor line just doesn't cut it. Please don't stop carrying this product!!

I have very sensitive skin. This makeup is gentle on my skin. Also it lasts all day, until I wash it off, and washes off easily.

I would say my skin tone is on the fair side, though not porcelain at all. I usually use a liquid makeup with a bit of powder on top (I have combination skin and that works well but doesn't give a great even coverage. I decided to try this because of all the good reviews. It's really great makeup at a very cheap price! It goes on evenly with a very moist sponge (I bought the Max Factor sponge when I ordered the makeup). The tan color (which I would normally NEVER buy because I'm fair) worked great with my skin tone. Anyway, it goes on great and stays on great. My only slight problem with it is it tends to look very matte (for some a great thing), so I use a stick blush that has a bit of shimmer in order to keep from looking too matte. Anyway, it's very inexpensive and I love it enough to keep buying it (sure beats the $50 I usually pay for my liquid makeup).

IT IS ALL GREAT! I HAVE USED THIS MAKEUP SINCE THE 60'S EVERY DAT. GREAT COVER UP AND EASY TO USE. IT IS NOT EXPENSIVE AND IT TAKES NIO TIME TO APPLY. DO NOT STOP MAKING THIS GREAT PRODUCT.

I have been using Max Factor pancake Tan #1-109 since I was 16 years old. I am now 65!!! I have always received compliments on my complexion.

I have oily skin, spots/freckles. Everything I try turns oily fast. But this is amazing! Take a damp sponge puff, swirl it over the surface to make it creamy--not too creamy or it'll be too thick. You have to blend it well or it will be streaky. Add more water to the sponge for more coverage. It evened out my skin tone, made it look silky smooth. It's not cakey, doesn't settle in wrinkles. Pat it on heavier under eyes for concealer. I got many compliments, was told several times that I look younger and "what did you do?" Hardest part is selecting the color you need. These colors show as 2 shades darker in the package than on your skin. So, if you get a color that looks like an exact match to your color, it will actually be two shades lighter on your skin. I am a medium light beige tone and tried the Tan no.1--it looks great--and it still is slightly lighter than my skin color. Lasts all day. Resists sweat; blot the sweat with a soft sponge powder puff and makeup stays in place.

I ordered 5 different colors and all of the colors end up making you look like a ghost. They are all very light, even the darkest color.
