I use Cetaphil instead of shaving cream. No preparation necessary, just rub it on and shave it off. It does not dry out and you can see what you are doing

This gentle skin cleanser was recommeded to me by my determetologist after I had a chemical peel. I started with the small bottle but after I saw the results I quickly moved on the the large bottle with a pump. Cetephil is incredibly gentle and there are mutipule ways to use this cleanser. I like to experiment with different skincare products but this is the only cleanser that I always come back to. When I have acne or even scabs on my face this cleaser is gentle enough to clean my skin without drying it out. It also removes my makeup well (esspecially when used on dry skin). Overtime (maybe about a week or so) you will feel your skin becoming softer. The results are amazing. It is also incredibly affordable and is a great first step to your skincare routine.

I've been using this for years. At first it was when I was on very harsh prescriptions for acne. At that time, those treatments were so harsh that my skin was incredibly dry and sensitive. It was the only cleanser I could find that didn't irritate my skin. Now I'm off those creams and my skin is older (20's) and no longer sensitive. Cetaphil is still amazing. It keeps my skin nice and balanced. Pair it with a good moisturizer and you're good to go for life.

Firstly, Cetaphil has an absolutely AWFUL smell. I'm aware that fragrance free products often do, hence they usually overload us with chemical sensory overload to mask the truth. But if they incorporated essential oils into these products, maybe the small minority of us who are fragrance-sensitive wouldn't have to seek out fragrance-free alternatives. But I digress...despite everything you have heard, if Cetaphil ends up being the answer to your skin care woes, I would gather it is because you gave up rather quickly or you did not try natural cleansers, of which there are so many that are superior to Cetaphil, it would be impossible to enumerate them all. I have sensitive combination skin and Cetaphil neither moisturized my dry skin nor regulated my oily skin. It didn't seem to reduce any irritability my skin had, either.

Cetaphil is one of the few soaps I can use on my sensitive skin. Despite it always being rated highly in the beauty magazines, I never purchased it before because I didn't like the fact that it does not foam. My excema got so bad that now I have to use it. I hope they create a foaming formula soon.

After a day of harsh pollutants, sweat and makeup it isn't strong enough to keep your skin fresh and clean. I had to use another product, if not wash my face twice to get the grimy, oily feeling off. Obviously, it's good for just sensitive skin.

Without Water: Apply a liberal amount to the skin and rub gently. The unique, low lathering formula allows gentle, yet thorough cleansing. Remove excess with a soft cloth, leaving a thin film of CETAPHIL on the skin. The emollient quality will leave the skin soft and moist.
